Breast Reconstructions – Case Study 1
BILATERAL NIPPLE-SPARING MASTECTOMY + IMMEDIATE BECKERS IMPLANT + prepectoral BRAXON MESH RECONSTRUCTION FOR DCIS
52 year old with left breast lump (July 2019)

⦁ Mammogram and ultrasound showed two tumour in the left breast
⦁ : 11mm Left upper outer mass – biopsy shows grade 3 triple negative breast cancer.
⦁ : 22mm Left lower out mass – biopsy shows same histology as above.
⦁ Staging Sentinel Node Biopsy – one normal single sentinel node
⦁ Primary chemotherapy – ERX4 + carbotaxel from Nov 2019 to Mid Jan 2020.
⦁ Strong Family History of breast cancer but tested negative for BRCA1+2 gene mutation. Patient requested for a bilateral mastectomy
⦁ Left nipple sparing mastectomy and right risk-reducing mastectomy via inframammary incision + immediate bilateral implant and Braxon ADM mesh reconstruction using pre-pectoral approach (Feb 2020).
⦁ Did not require anymore treatment.
