Right nipple sparing mastectomy + sentinel node biopsy + immediate Beckers implant + Braxon mesh Reconstruction for invasive cancer
46 yr old
45 year old with a right breast lump for two months (early Dec 2019)
- Right breast ultrasound and mammogram shows two breast cancer tumours in the right breast breast:
- 9 o’clock 4mm tumour –Grade 2 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma ER+ve PR+ve HER2-ve
- 10 o’clock – 6mm tumour – same as above
- MRI shows two breast cancers measuring a total area of 57mm in right upper outer quadrant
- Right nipple sparing mastectomy a + Sentinel Node Biopsy + immediate implant and Braxon mesh reconstruction (late Dec 2019) – final histology: 75 mm multifocal Grade 2 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma, tumour 8mm clear or nipple bed margin, rest of margins clear, 1 micrometastasis ( < 2mm) in one sentinel node out of four sentinel nodes.
- Oncotype Dx test – 17 – Chemotherapy not required.
- Chest wall Radiotherapy and Tamoxifen for 10 years.
