About
Mr Kelvin Chong
Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon
I am part of the new generation of breast surgeons who are trained in oncoplastic breast surgery. This is a new field of breast surgery, which applies breast cancer surgery assimilated with plastics and reconstructive techniques. The oncoplastic approach aims to minimise the cosmetic effects of breast cancer surgery and enhance the wellbeing of breast cancer patients.
My philosophy is that every skill and effort should be deployed to provide the most effective treatment, as well as minimising any long-term adverse effects of breast cancer treatment. My practice includes numerous support services with the aim of returning my patients back to normality.
My NHS base is at St Albans City Hospital and Watford General Hospital which are part of the West Hertfordshire NHS Trust.
My private scope of practice is similar to that of my NHS practice.
